Cliffe Woods were back to winning ways this week after two heavy losses, to beat bottom side Rainham 2. The 6-4 result was only secured at the end of the evening courtesy of a successful Doubles for Andy Larner and Peter Mortley. Earlier Mortley went unbeaten despite the best efforts of Mick Hambelton,John Coleman and Mike Ingram. Hambelton won his other two games but did need a last gasp 12-10 final leg to get past Larner. Andy's luck was out in this match as he also lost in the 5th to John Coleman and in 4 to Ingram. Mike Kemlo completed the Woods' line up and added two useful wins.
