Luton Invicta were brought back down to earth after last week's first victory of the season, when they found themselves 7-0 down to in-form hosts Sturdee 2. They did rally by taking the last 3 points, when Dave Hopkins beat Mehdi Golchehreh in 4 and Ian Sayer outlasted Neil Tydeman in a 5 legger. This duo then combined to take the Doubles as well at the end of the evening to make the scoreline respectable. Paul Willis is showing his premier class with a relatively comfortable treble whereas Mick Barber is still to open his account this season for Luton.
