MATCH REPORT - WEEK 14 - JANUARY 26TH 2022

Premier Division Match Number 14.

New team in the league ‘Allstars’ faced tough opposition for their first match as they were drawn against the leaders Horsham Spinners. They went down fighting losing 7-3.

Horsham’s Rory Scott and Graham Beaney with three wins and Freddy Goodall with one completed the 7-2 win.

For Allstars it was one win each for Lynne Trussell and Erik Van Mol against Spinners Freddy Goodall.

 

With their 7-2 win over Crawley Knights Divergents move up to second in the premier.

Three wins each for Emma Torkington and Daniel Pound plus one for veteran Jim Skinner.

For the Knights Fawzi Yousif played well winning one and taking Emma Torkington to five. Mina Matta also played well for one win.

 

Hang Em High despite defeating Dynamos five four lost their second spot to Divergents, although they still have a game in hand. Michael Bridger with three wins and Graham Carter with two third player Ben Worley had an unusual off night.

With eight of the nine games going to four and five sets dynamos considered them selves unlucky. Dennis Hayden defeated both Ben Worley and Graham Carter. It was a win for Matthew Caddy plus an exciting five setter loss to Michael Bridger and Tony Rowell winning one and losing one 12-10 in the fifth to Michael Bridger.

A match between Ping Panthers and Crawley Community saw Panther’s winning 6-3. It was a fine treble for Steven Ive two for Jeff Triggs and one for Sasha O’Halloran.

For Community Richard Cosens two wins and one win for Brett Holt

 

 

Conference Division One

 

King Pongs are one point in the lead but have a game in hand over second placed Pingwins. Spinderella’s stay in third place despite losing to Thunderbolts.

King Pongs had a comfortable win over X Men by seven games to two. It was three for Paul Brinkhurst and two each for Darius Mayhew and Nikita Kalyazin who both lost to Robert Hoare. Robert Hoare won the two games for X Men.

 

Pingwins in a close match defeated New Avengers five games to four.

For Pingwins David Polhill it was three wins, Rupert Browning and Dan Polhill one win.

For New Avengers it was two for Prevesh Ramnath plus one each for Robert and Rowan Goff.

 

Blade Runners Jennifer Watkins and Oscar Wiseman both had trebles with Jonathon Buckley winning one to defeat Magiks 7-2.  Kevin Deacon and Mel Sims both won a game apiece for Magiks.

 

Shock 8-1 defeat for Spinderella’s when they lost 8-1 to Thunderbolts.

In top form for Thunderbolts Samantha Stoner and Andy Steel both won three while not to be out done Veteran David Metcalfe won two.

The only winner for Spinderella’s was from the bat of John Bridger.

       

Top three teams in the Premier are

Horsham Spinners, Divergents, Hang Em High.

In Conference Division. Top Three are.
