MATCH REPORT - WEEK 13 - JANUARY 19TH 2022

Premier Division Match Number Thirteen

TT Legends team owing to the unavailability of their team for each fixture sadly have had to pull out of the league. Luckily there is another team who were unable to enter the league early on as the league had no spare slots to fit another team. The team called All Stars have agreed to take over the vacant spot commencing next week.

This weeks matches saw Horsham Spinners with a shock 9-0 win over second placed Hang Em High. Admittedly Hang Em High were missing their top two players (Andrew Sharland and Michael Bridger) and paid the price against the top team. For Spinners the leading team, it was three apiece for Rory Scott, Graham Beaney and Gary Wilson, For Hang Em High’s Ben Worley, Graham Carter and Christian Vincent despite over four games going to four sets Spinners proved why they lead the table.

In the match between Divergents and Dynamos, Divergents came out on top winning 6-3. Sally Hughes again the star won three with Jim Skinner winning two and Minesh Agnihotri with one. For Dynamos Tony Rowell two wins and Richard Cosens with one.
Crawley Knights defeated Crawley Community 6-3. Fawzi Yousif was in good form in winning three with Josef Krakovsky with two and Peter Cracknell with one. For Community it was two for Steven Ive and one for Jeff Triggs. 

 

 

Conference Division One

King Pongs top of this division took no chances by fielding a strong team against Blade Runners who they defeated six games to three. Paul Brinkhurst player of the match with three wins, Nikita Kalyazin with two and Holly Cole with one. For Blade Runners two wins for Oscar Wiseman plus one rare loss, and one win for Jennifer Watkins. Most matches going to four and five sets.

Pingwins in second place are keeping the pressure on the leaders by defeating Magiks team 7-2.
Dan Polhill with a treble in straight sets, David Polhill also a treble and a good win for Rupert Browning over Phil Harvey.
Magiks Alistair Blue and Kevin Deacon won one apiece. 

A very close score saw Spinderella’s defeat X Men five games to four.
Viv Cole and John Bridger both won two each with one rare loss for both players. Needing the win for the match Annabel Bridger stepped in to defeat Jonathan Buckley and give Spinderella’s the win.
For X Men Tom Christophersen played well to win two, defeating both Anabel Bridger and Viv Cole, Peter Caddy also won two losing only to Viv.

Thunderbolts came through 7-2 winners over New Avengers. Andy Steel was player of the match with three wins, Jim Griffin and Matthew Power both with two while, for New Avengers Robert Goff and Prevesh Ramnath both with a win
