Match Report - Week 20 - April 6th 2022
Premier Division Matches 21

Despite a brilliant treble from Michael Bridger Hang Em High went down 5-4 to Horsham Spinners. It was two each for Spinners Graham Beaney and Gary Wilson plus one for Erik Van Mol. For Hang Em  High Michael Bridger was unbeatable with his three wins while Christian Vincent defeated Erik Van Mol. Third player Richard Cosens found the top team just too strong.

Second in premier Divergents with only two players found it impossible to defeat Dynamos and lost 6-3. Dynamos Richard and Matthew Caddy plus Dennis Hayden all took good advantage of Divergents missing player to register two wins each. This left Divergents top player Daniel Pound to carry his team with three wins.

An exciting close match had Ping Panthers overcoming Allstars five games to four. Sasha O’Halloran leading Pings victory with a treble followed by Jeff Triggs with two. For Allstars Freddy Goodall won two but lost to Sasha in the fifth. Team companions Jeff Triggs and Nick Gilbert won one game each.

Crawley Knights overcame Crawley Community 8-1. It was unfortunate for Community as they could only field two players and most games played went to four and five sets. For the Knights including awarded games it was three each for Fawzi Yousif and Josef Krakovsky with two for Mina Mata. For Community the highlight for the league was the return of Charlie Hough now out of the juniors and playing in the premier Charlie defeated Mina Matta and took Fawzi Yousif 9-11 in the fifth
  
Conference Division One

Leaders King Pongs scraped a 5-4 win against a determined Blade Runners side. It was two wins for Darius Mayhew and Jacob Allonby but the win was thanks to junior player Holly Cole, whose four setter win over Jonathan Buckley gave her team the victory needed. Even though Oscar Wiseman impressed with three wins and Jenifer Watkins won one for Blades they fell just one game short. 

Magiks are getting stronger each game. This week they just lost to the Pingwins 5-4. Pingwins junior Dan Polhill led the way with three wins with partner David Polhill winning two. Third player Rupert Browning only just lost his games in four and five sets. For Magiks Mel Sims played well to have two wins with Phil Harvey and Kevin Deacon chipping in with one apiece.  

With Spinderella’s and X Men out this week it was Thunderbolts to win the final match 6-3 against Blade Runners. David Metcalfe was player of the match winning three singles with Samantha Stoner also winning three. For Avengers Prevesh Ramnath, Robert and Luke Goff all had one win each.
