With an 8-2 victory over Northfield A, Beaumont Nomads A closed the gap at the top of the first division with Ormesby A in the Cleveland & District Summer Table Tennis League.  Peter Sermon and Stuart Park were the star players for Nomads both scoring hat tricks whilst Kevin Linsley won 2. 

Only the singles won by Northfield was a victory for David Drummond over Linsley at 11-7 in the decider.  Northfields second win was the doubles, Drummond and Tommy Webster were victorious against Peter Sermon and Craig Dring. The closest set of the match was when Kevin Linsley pipped Webster at 14-12 in the decider.  

Ormesby A lost ground when they were only able to achieve a 5 all draw against Nunthorpe A. Michael Young was the star of the match scoring a hat trick for Ormesby whilst Nigel Savage won 1 with a victory over Mike Fenby.  David Pashley and Dave Williams won 2 each for Nunthorpe. 

Ormesby A still lead the table with 58 points from 8 matches whilst Beaumont A are in second place just 3 points behind with 55 points.
