Having won all of their first six matches Northfield A are at the top of Division 2 of the Cleveland & District Summer Table Tennis League.  In last weeks fixtures Northfield  A beat Beaumont Nomads B by 8-2 with hat-tricks from Tom Webster and David Drummond.

For Beaumont B, Bruce Lowther and Geoff Howe both beat Gary Whittle.  The closest set of the match was Bruce Lowther’s win over Gary Whittle 12-10 in the decider. 

In second place Nunthorpe B closed the gap at the top of the table with a 9-1 victory over Ormesby F Wheelers, Nunthorpe B won all the 9 singles with hat-tricks from Barbara Kearney, Trevor Teasdale and John Goulding.  The closest win was against Trevor Teasdale over Marc Bonnor 13-11 in the decider.

Noel Thomas and Marc Bonnar secured their Ormesby teams the only victory in the doubles beating Trevor Teasdale and Barbara Kearney in straight games. 

Northfield A lead the table with 52 points from six matches while Nunthorpe B are 1 point closer with 47 from 6.  Beaumont Nomads B are in third place with 36.
