CHANGE OF DATE FOR TOURNAMENT

TAMWORTH AND DISTRICT TABLE TENNIS ASSOCIATION – CLOSED TOURNAMENT CHANGE OF DATE

It has come to our attention that the date set for the Tournament is the same as a match between  Birmingham City and Aston Villa. Some players have said that they cannot play in the tournament because they want to watch the match, so, in an effort to accommodate this, we have decided to postpone the tournament until Sunday 24th March.

As it stands it is fairly incidental as we have only had 2 people who have shown interest in taking part. As we said in our first e mail last Monday, we need to know how many will be entering to give us a chance to book a venue which will be suitable.

With this in mind we are setting a new cut off point for entries – Sunday 24th February is the last day we will receive entries – we will then book a venue commensurate with the number of entries on that day.

If there is still a small number of entries received we will take the decision to either book Moorgate School which will mean there will be a limited number of spaces available, or admit defeat and cancel the tournament.

It is entirely up to you the players – feel free to e mail and say if you think the tournament is no longer of interest – we want to offer what you want but we are running out of time.

Please send you entries to Sue as soon as possible

Regards

John Kinson
