Premier Division
It was revenge on the minds of Rayleigh Mill as they looked to avenge the defeat they suffered at the hands of Warehouse A earlier this season. While they say revenge is a dangerous motive, it certainly worked for the Millers as they ran out 9-0 winners with Steve Sawyer, Duncan Taylor and Colin Chatfield all going unbeaten.
Another Ben Warner hat-trick wasn’t quite enough for his Rawreth C side to overcome Lentern A. A good team effort from Paul Brown, Charlie Bates and Norbert Fullerton edged this one 5-4 with no doubt the game of the day as Warner overcame his Basildon league team mate Bates deuce in the 5th.
Elsewhere Castle Point A went down 7-2 to Hadleigh Forum A side of John Tendler, Neil Barker and Dave Bassett. Barry Delf continued his good form with the two wins for the visitors.

Division 1
"Rawreth RESSC are still top of division 1 despite a heavy loss to to Lentern D. Gus Heath was in great form for Lentern winning his three on the night, but Sue Body and Dave Kirsten both fell short of maximums, losing to Rawreth's two game winner Tony Millward to leave the score at 7-2 to Lentern. Hullbridge C closed the gap at the top slightly with a 5-4 win over Warehouse B. Stand out player on the night was Peter Saunders with three wins, but Warehouse had Jim Stait and Sam Langton to thank for securing the four points with a brace each. Canvey. B have moved off the bottom despite a 5-4 loss at the hands of Lentern B. In a close match not one player won all three, but the two Tony's (Reed and Westwell) won two apiece to give the Islanders valuable points. A Roy Thomas hat trick helped Customs A to a 7-2 win over Thorpe Bay C moving Thorpe Bay bottom of the league."

Division 2
A week of derby games in Division 2. Firstly, Hockley B overcame Hockley C 8 – 1. There were maximums for Alan Tideswell and Tony Vassallo, whilst Dennis Squirrall saved the C team’s blushes.
In the other derby game Castle Point B triumphed 6 – 3 on visiting Castle Point C. Tony Ayliffe and Martin Roberts were unbeaten for the B team, whilst a team effort saw all three home team players share their points.

Barbara O’Brien (2) and Anne Addlington (1) made sure of the result, whilst Tony Molliso scored two for the visitors.
Warehouse C were too strong for Hullbridge D coming away with a 7 – 2 win on their travels. A hat trick from Gordon Child and two each from Darren Launder and Jonathan Allen gave them the victory. Two wins from Hullbridge’s Paul Ogden were all the home team could muster.
Rawreth D played hosts to a two-man RESSC side who, despite contributing to an entertaining evening, were unable to affect the score as three wins each for Colin Barham, Mel Jones and Andy Nunn gave the home team comfortable 9 – 0 winners.
Clive Beauchamp scored home team Basildon Hospital’s only point in a 8 – 1 defeat to Invicta A. Neil Daines and David Barnes scored maximums for the visitors.

Division 3
With The top two teams not in action this week, it gave a chance for the chasing pack to close the gap. Warehouse D took full advantage with a good 8-1 win at Customs B, Ro Brett and Chi Cheung with maximums and Phil Mardle with two, Richard Kidd saving the blushes for Customs. Hockley D also made up ground with a solid 9-0 win over their F team. Dave Cross, Matt Nariel & Phil Pond doing the damage over the Goody family.
Canvey D also won 6-3 against Hullbridge G, thanks to an unbeaten night from Ray Baker and two from Ross Warner. Keiram Stanley putting up the resistance for the Hullbridge team with two wins but was unable to overcome Ray on the night. The final result saw a close match end 5-4 in favour of Hockley E over Rawreth E despite a hattrick from veteran Ken Field. Matt and Jason Stringer both got two for the Hockley team with Ken commenting after the match “Matt Springer continues to improve and will be a very good player.”
