Match Report

A game, which in truth, was closer than the score line suggests.

With Kestrels pulling back from a 3-1 deficit to make the score 3-3 at the tea break it looked like this was a game likely to be decided late into the evening.

However, Pat managed to beat Rob in 4, winning the pushing battle and hitting at the right times, Huw then held his nerve when nothing would seem to go for him tonight beat Mitch in 5, and Paul read Ed’s game well and won in 3 straight meaning that with the doubles to play Tykes had increased their lead to an unassailable 6-3 score line.

Pat and Paul completes the doubles, getting their tactics right, to win that to leave the match score 7-3.

The result means that Tykes maintain their unbeaten start to the season and Kestrels, despite being in the bottom two, should realise there isn’t a great deal between many teams this season and the second half of the season could bring them better results.

Again an evening played in good spirits throughout with some cracking rallies.
