Match Report
Another superb encounter between two evenly matched teams. 
The Buzzards started well going into a 3-0 lead which the Sharks never really recovered from. Those first three games took over 90 minutes, with Kevin recovering from 2-0 down against Gordon, Sonja edging out Bob in four and Herbie coming back and saving several match points to beat Adam 15-13 in the fifth.
Gordon comfortably beat Sonja to get the Sharks off the mark, but Adam although taking the first game off Kevin, lost in four. A terrific display of hitting and counter hitting by Bob saw off Herbie in three. 4-2 to the Buzzards.
Adam beat Sonja in three, and then there was another excellent 5 setter with Herbie just sneaking it against Gordon. Kevin completed a superb maximum, beating Bob in three.
The final doubles with Herbie & Kevin taking on Gordon & Adam was three straight to the Buzzards but they had to fight for every point.
So a 7-3 win for the Buzzards, but it could’ve been a lot closer, the Buzzards winning all the 5 game sets.
A great evening’s table tennis which should’ve been rounded off with mince pies and cream if the Vultures and Swifts hadn’t got their first!!
