Brandon Devils V Comets

With two games left in the league both Redby and Comets have exactly the same number of points so maximum points are being chased in all games to try to win the league title.

Comets were away against a Brandon team that included Ian Crumpson, John Parkin and the talented Ryan Morton who is starting to make a name for himself in national Competitions.

Comets had Debbie and Nikki Irwin with the ever reliable Matt Greenwood. Matt put up a solid display taking all his three singles and with both Nikki and Debbie taking 2 and also taking the doubles, Comets came away with an 8-2 win. Ryan was the star for Brandon beating both Debbie and Nikki in four ends.

Eagles v Brandon C

The last game of the season for Eagles was against local rivals Brandon C and with Haydn unavailable drafted in Ross Clennel to join Jack Pugh and Luke Dumighan. Brandon travelled with Steve Pattinson, Will Lindsey and Chris Leishman. Luke Dumighan with his controlled play and measured drives won all his singles and the MVP. Steve won 2 and with Will took the doubles. Game of the night was a ding dong affair between Jack and Will which went the full length and was finally decided by Jacks resolute defence grinding Will down and coming out victorious 11-8 in the final end. The games went Eagles way and with Jack chipping in with 2 and Ross taking 1 Eagles ran out 6-4 victors giving them a good finish to a very satisfactory season for them.
