There is some relief next week with league matches taking second place to the Sentinel Cup and Bradwell Handicap competitions.
Teams have been given the option this year as to whether or not they enter a team, but injuries and illnesses have scuppered some teams’ thoughts of playing, but all those entered are keen to play and there are likely to be some good and close matches.
In the Sentinel Cup, the favourites must again be the Ball Green A and B teams. Tuesday sees Bradwell A play their own B team, whilst on Wednesday Penkhull A take on Crewe Post Office. The second round is also being played next week with the winners of Bradwell A & B visiting Ball Green to play against the A team on Wednesday, whilst the winners of the Penkhull and Crewe Post Office match, will face the Ball Green B team on Thursday.
In the Bradwell Handicap, last year’s winners MESC D have a home match on Wednesday and face the winners of the MESCF and Kidsgrove F match who play on Monday. In what looks like a strange match, Bradwell D from Division 2 face the Premier Division team of MESC A on Wednesday and with the handicaps it could be a good one to watch. Other matches include Bradwell E against Kidsgrove E, MESC C versus with own E team and Ball Green H taking on Kidsgrove C.
Just a quick reminder that any matches which were postponed due to the recent snow, should be played by the end of the season or within one week of the last scheduled matches.
