WEEK 12 REPORT
Kintbury Jog hit top spot after defeating Thatcham Colts 7-3 with Adam Pacyne winning all three and Mark Wheeler and Pete Sinyard winning two each . Pacyne was pushed all the way by Joseph Cornmell though winning 17-15 in the decider Cornmell won twice for Colts.
Kintbury Titans are now two points back after crashing 7-3 at home to Thatcham A for whom Andy Barnes had a fine treble and Tony Brown and Richard Rosinski two wins each. Titans only rescued one point by taking the doubles 11-9 in the fifth.
Favourites Ashford Hill Ramblers are two further points behind but have three games in hand They held on this week to beat Upton Ultraviolets by 6-4 thanks to three from Sam Ricks and two from John Goodyer and also teaming up to win the doubles.
A Patrick Garlick treble helped Thatcham Lions to a 6-4 win over Thatcham C for whom Ray Beeks won a couple
Leaders AWE Fission lost 6-4 to Thatcham Spartans despite John McLarty winning three close games but Malcolm Record Celia Hooker and Eric Panting all won two each to take the victory in some closely fought matches with only one game being won three straight.
Another tight match was between Ashford Hill Misfits and Woolton Hill Wildcats with no player winning all three Simon Craig and Wendy Porter both won twice for Misfits only losing to Archie Dyson of Wildcats who lost his other match.Craig and Porters final set win in the doubles earned them a 6-4 victory.
Thatcham Scorpions who are joint second had a 7-3 win over Woolton Hill Wombats with Simon Barter getting a maximum and Darren Harper two. Robin Burns had two good wins for Wombats and only just lost to Barter after winning the first two sets
Kintbury Outlaws head the table with 33 points after getting maximum points with a 9-1 defeat of Thatcham Tornadoes David Rawlings and David Taylor had hat tricks and John Tanner won two. Rawlings 11-9 final end win over Michael Slingo was the match of the night.
Inkpen Insufferables are one point off the top with two matches to catch up and they defeated two man A and E Specials 8-2 with Rohit Sengupta unbeaten and Tom Kelly and Bob Nash both getting a pair each. Lorraine Mortimer won both A and E's games.
Thatcham Hawks entertained Thatcham Dragons and came out 7-3 winners with Dave Norman, Ian Dickason and Christine Milne all winning twice But the visitors Sajish Pavithran was unbeaten
The bottom two teams Woolton Hill Woodpeckers and Woolton Hill Racketeeers shared the spoils with Woodpeckers Ben Djekic the man of the match with three wins his team mate Akjai Kanath won twice and Panos Stemitious had a double for Racketeers
