James Townsend led from the front by getting a treble without dropping a set which was quite an achievement as he was playing up at the same time.  Alex Low got a brace and Kevin Towner a single although Kevin could be considered a little unlucky as he only lost to Derek Myers in the fifth after clawing his way back from 2 sets down. For Boxley Derek also beat Alex and Paul Paulding beat Kevin but Bob Ellis had a bad day at the office and didn't get a win until he partnered Paul to a doubles victory.
