Match Report

Rainham 3 recorded their 4th win of the season, two of which have now been against this week's opponents, Upnor B. There was some very close legs in this match so the final score of 7-3 is perhaps a bit harsh on the visitors but now gives the hosts a 13 point advantage over the Frog Islanders. Not for the first time this season Tim Davie was Rainham's best performer and he beat all of Upnor's line-up in 4 legs and also teamed up with Mick Hambelton for the Doubles. Earlier Mick had added two more wins to his tally only losing to Dave Gracey which ended Dave's recent losing spell. He was unlucky not to add a 2nd win just being edged out by John Coleman 13-11 in the 5th. A good recovery by John as in his first game he lost to Shahab Raza from 2 legs up and also was 2nd best to Steve McNally.
