Table Tennis England has released the extra seats this week after tickets for the day sold out in December.

Sandra Deaton, Chairman of Table Tennis England, said:

We’re delighted to be able to release this limited number of additional seats for those who missed out the first time around.

We want to offer as many people as possible the chance to witness the world’s best players live in London. It’s promising to be an exciting event!

Thousands of table tennis fans have already snapped up tickets for the four-day tournament, which runs from Thursday February 22 to Sunday February 25.

It is the second most prestigious ITTF competition after the World Championships, and it will be the first time that a major table-tennis only tournament has been hosted in London since 1954.

The world’s best players – including the Chinese and Japanese men’s teams – will be descending on London to take part in the event.

England’s men have qualified by rights for the event by virtue of their bronze medal at the World Championships in 2016, while the women’s team will have a host-nation place.

The rest of the field will comprise the six continental champions and the other top finishers at the 2016 World Championships.

The finals day was the first session to sell out, and has since been followed by Friday morning’s group matches.

If you are unable to get to the finals, there is plenty of opportunity to see the other teams in action on previous days – every nation will be in action on Thursday February 22, as the first two rounds of group matches take place.

Tickets are also still available for the quarter-finals on the afternoon of Friday February 23 and for the semi-finals are on Saturday February 24. Tickets start from just £5.
