New Kendal Table Tennis Club Runs Open Evenings

Kendal Table Tennis Club opened its doors for the first time, at Kendal Leisure Centre, on Tuesday, May 2nd. Five table tennis enthusiasts enjoyed the excellent playing conditions in Studio 1. With the fantastic Spring sunshine, the air conditioning was much appreciated and means that members will be able to play comfortably throughout the Summer. Members also appreciated the excellent lighting and not having to put the tables up at the beginning of the session and then away again at the end.

There will now be a series of Open Evenings, commencing on Tuesday, May 9th, from 7-9, so that a limited number of prospective members can come and play at the club, until the membership list is full. A fee of £2 per person will be charged which will be deducted from the quarterly membership fee should the player join at the end of the session. Such places will be limited so anyone interested should email the organiser (tony@lonsdaleconsulting.co.uk) to register their interest.

The idea of the club is for people to be able to enjoy table tennis in a friendly, non-competitive environment, so if you are one of the many people who played table tennis at school or university but then stopped when they started to work, why not get playing again. Table tennis is great fun and very good for your physical and mental wellbeing.
