Kendal Table Tennis Club

I am pleased to report that a new club, Kendal Table Tennis Club, will open at the Kendal Leisure Centre (KLC) on Tuesday, May 2nd. Kendal Table Tennis Club will initially be run by the League (myself), in partnership with KLC. The club will run from 7-9 each Tuesday evening in Studio 1 and it is hoped that there will be sufficient demand to run this all year round. Membership will, at least initially, be for a 3 month period and seniors only. If we can get the club established we will then look at juniors and coaching. The idea is to get a club running for people in Kendal who want to play table tennis, either socially or competitively. Hopefully, some teams may emerge from this in due course, which will help the League.

I will be creating a membership application form shortly and this will be posted on the website. (now attached here - Membership application form - 21.4.17.doc ). The initial quarterly membership fee (18 and over) will be £26, which equates to £2 a week for each 13 week period. The first quarter will be May to July. Membership will be limited to make sure that everyone gets sensible access to the tables on club night. It will be first come first served and the initial membership limit will be 8 players. A waiting list will then operate. As soon as we get 2 more tables in, the limit will increase to 16. If demand rises above this, we will look at space options within the Leisure Centre.
