Nigel Gray

Should you not have already heard I regret to inform you that unfortunately my father, Nigel Gray passed away on friday night.

As I understand it, you are the best contact toward table tennis players that may have known him & i was hoping you may be able to inform relevant players that he may have known.

He died from a rare cancer called mesothelioma (asbestos related strain) and against odds fought it for 3 1/2 years.

As you may know he managed to keep going strong and carried on playing table tennis until recent weeks !

Most wouldn't know about his illness as he kept it reasonably quiet & didn't let it slow him down until he had to.

For those who feel like attending, his funeral is at 1:15 on Thursday the 7th at the Enfield crematorium. This will be followed by a wake at Halsey Masonic Hall, Cheshunt.

People have been asking where they can send flowers. As a nice alternative we suggest that anyone wishing to do so may instead like to make a small donation to his charity memorial page by following the link below.

I hope this finds you well.

All the best,

Kevin Gray
