British team hunt Spanish gold

British Para Table Tennis Team Performance athletes Martin Perry and Billy Shilton head a squad of nine British athletes competing in the PTT Spanish Open in Almeria this week (November 15-18).

Perry and Shilton narrowly missed out on qualification for this year’s World Championships and will be joined in Spain by Commonwealth bronze medallist Josh Stacey, who took gold in the Czech Open in September, and six British Pathway and Development athletes.

The full British team for the Spanish Open is:

Marc Bonnar – Class 2 (Ingleby, Middlesborough)
Lucie Bouron – Class 3 (Bracknell)
Daniel Bullen – Class 5 (St Neots)

Billy Shilton – Class 8 (Stonehouse/Sheffield)
Joshua Stacey – Class 9 (St Mellons/Sheffield)
Shae Thakker – Class 10 (Denham, Bucks)
