A DRAW THE FAIR RESULT!

  It was an entertaining draw when third placed Mayflower took on fourth placed Tetford. Chris Cooke of Mayflower was the player of the match, dropping just one end to Andy Foster on his way to his hattrick. Brian Todd of Tetford and Tony Hall of Mayflower had an exhausting evening, with both players having to endure five-enders. Brian won both of his, first surviving a comeback from the fast improving Jamie Hill before finishing his evening coming from 2-0 down against the "out of puff" Tony Hall! Tony did manage to win his other five-ender though, coming from 1-2 down against Mary Silverton to take the final two ends 11-6, 11-6. Young Jamie Hill got another win under his belt with a straight sets victory over Mary Silverton. Andy Foster was the pick of the Tetford team, beating the experienced Tony Hall in four sets followed by a straight set victory over Jamie Hill. With the score 5-4 in favour of Mayflower, the Tetford pairing of Foster/Todd needed to beat Hall/Cooke in the doubles for a draw. This they duly did, winning in four ends to get a draw on an entertaining evening.
