WALTERS TAKEN OUT BY INJURY!

After the first four singles, it looked as if we had a game on our hands with the match poised at 2-2, with James "Quinno" Quinton taking two good scalps with wins over Gary Hill and Graham Lacey. Quinno had to work very hard against Graham Lacey, coming from 0-2 down, taking the next three ends 11-8, 14-12, 11-6 to complete a memorable comeback! However, that was as good as it got for the Park with Alan Reetham struggling to get anything out the Lodgers team and Kelvin Clements in no mood for charity, Kelvin winning all of his three in straight ends. To make matters worse, Graham Walters had to retire injured in his second match, due to suspected tendon damage in his arm! With the doubles also going the way of Lodgers, what started out as a promising beginning ended in a 2-8 victory to the team from Wrangle.
