HERBERTS ON SONG!

Gavin Herberts was the man of the moment when Stickney visited Lodgers B, Gavin putting in a player of the match performance, comfortably winning all three of his singles in straight sets. He was ably backed up by Paul Hartnett, who also won his three but was made to work a lot harder for his points, with Trev Blackbourn taking him to four and Colin Bell going even further, losing out in the fifth end 5-11. It was a tougher night for Vince Lozynsky though, Trev Blackbourn beating him in four ends and Colin Bell getting the better of him in five, with the fifth ending 18-16 in favour of Colin. Vince did gain one consolation point though, beating Richard Baxter in four. The doubles between Trev/Colin and Paul/Gavin was a close affair going the full distance but ultimately going the way of Stickney to give them an 2-8 victory on the night.
