Bolton News 28 March

With only two more league weeks to go before the end of the season of the Bolton Table Tennis League, it would appear that Premier team Glodwick are very unlikely to be caught with the top half of the table virtually already set in stone. With Glodwick’s result to come, second-placed Ramsbottom Town A took on Nomads winning 20 – 11 with a nine from Michael Moir. Third place Flixton Cricket Club A had a full points 27 – 8 win over second from the bottom, Ladybridge A. Fifth-placed Radcliffe Cricket Club had a surprise defeat against ninth-placed Hilton A going down 22 - 14 with nines from Hilton’s Mark Gibson and Andrew Michnowiec. Third from the bottom Wharton took on bottom of the table Burning Desire and won 26 – 10 with nines from Barry Elliott and Ian Quinn.
