In the Premier Division Flixton CC A set out their stall against contender Radcliffe CC with a 26-6 win with nine point wins from Phillip Bowen and Stephen Scowcroft. Wharton’s Barry Elliott and Ian McClean both got nines to overcome Ladybridge A 23-8. There were two 25-9 wins with Ramsbottom Cricket Club’s unstoppable Meng Cheng on nine against Nomads A and Heaton CC A’s Paul Ward on nine taking it against Coburg A. Ramsbottom Town A had a 26-9 win over Little Lever CC A with nines from Michael Moir and Richard Lightowler. Flixton CC B had a 22-11 win against Hilton A helped by a nine from Anthony Bates.


In Division One Burning Desire had a comprehensive win over promoted Meadow Ben A 25-4 with nine from Brett Haslam and Ben Armstrong. Acre Bottom maintained their form with a 21-14 win over Nomads B assisted by a nine from Brian Clements. Hilton B outdid Little Lever CC B 25-7 with David Andrews and Andrew Cowley on form for Hilton. Coberg B had a 21-10 win over Farnworth SC A and a closer 22-14 win saw BRASS A beat Hilton C helped by a nine from Craig Duncan. Wingates just beat Ramsbottom Town B 19-13.


Division 2 Hilton D with all players on top form demolished Bolton TTA 27-2 which after a stuttering start now makes them a true contender for the Division taking them into second place. Top placed Heaton CC B maintained their quest with a 27-9 win over BRASS B with David Hall taking nine for Heaton. There were two very close encounters. between Hilton E took it against Ladybridge B 17-16 thanks to a nine from John Barker and Meadow Ben B just pipped Hilton F 17-16. Heaton CC C took advantage of bottom of the table Top Spinners with a 24-8 win with a nine from David Jones junior.


In Division Three Peter McCormick and Sam Greenhalgh had nine points apiece for Bolton TTC B to beat Farnworth SC B 24-11. Farnworth SC’s B team did not fair much better with a loss to Polonia Club with nine-points for both Dawid Kakol and Stefan Jankowski. St. Paul’s Peel just beat Walkden Methodists 19-16 although Carl Bennet resisted with a nine of Walkden’s points.


In Division Four we had a top of the table clash between top placed newcomers Hilton H against relegated Meadow Hill A. Hilton H just took it 19-16. Juniors Hilton J took advantage of a two man Ladybridge C to win 23-9 and Juniors Hilton I kept Meadow Hill B down at the bottom with a 25-5 win with nine points from both Steven Gao and Jei Makino. This also forced Meadow Hill A down into third place with Hilton I replacing them. A very close 16-15 result saw Albany just outplaying Irlam SC despite a resisting nine from Irlam’s David Yates.
