Join the #TableTennisDay celebrations!

This year’s #TableTennisDay is just over three weeks away and we’ve already heard from scores of organisations around the country who are joining in the annual celebration of our sport.

With events already planned from Northumberland to Kent and Norfolk to Devon, the big day on Thursday July 18 promises to be another truly national festival of putting table tennis on the map.

Table Tennis England is taking the show on the road to Bristol and London on the day. Our main event is in Bristol, where we will be in the St Nicks area of the city between 11am and 2pm, where we will be joined by Commonwealth Games medallist Maria Tsaptsinos and England youth players Louis Price, who will be challenging shoppers and showcasing their skills.

Across the city, SGS College will host a TT Kidz festival to celebrate the public launch of TT Kidz and bookings being open for young people to sign up to TT Kidz programmes across the country, from as North as Newcastle and as far South as Hastings.

The TT Kidz festival from 1.30-3pm will see up to 100 young people come and have their first taste of TT Kidz, our fun eight-week programme that introduces the great game of table tennis to youngsters of all abilities.

Click here to find out more about TT Kidz or to make a booking.

We will then be heading to the Walkabout venue in the city to finish the day with a ping pong party.

Also on #TableTennisDay, we will be joining the #ThisGirlCanPing Festival at the Greenhouse Centre in London, engaging secondary school pupils in London and Essex to promote female participation.

Greenhouse staff Maria Ingles and Jason Sugrue will lead the session from 10am-12pm with an aim of creating an enjoyable, fun introduction to table tennis.

There will be prizes such as a table tennis robot and equipment for pupils to win for their schools as well as a goody bag for each pupil including a free T-shirt, bat, pens and keyrings.

So what are you waiting for? Get involved and help us make #TableTennisDay on July 18 go with a bang!
