The 68th Wiltshire Vets Ranking tournament will be held on Sunday  21st October.

The entry form can be downloaded from the home page of the Vets TT365 web site here Vets Ranking Tournament entry form     or   (https://www.tabletennis365.com/WiltshireVets).

Then  posted or emailed to the organiser Albert Bolhuis (albert.bolhuis@gmail.com ) .

As anyone who’s attended before already knows, the day is not just about rankings or ability.  It’s a social occasion, with morning groups where you get to play against people of similar ability and then in the afternoon there’s a straight knockout which gives everyone the opportunity of chancing their arm, hopefully play someone they haven’t played before, and even more hopefully beat them!

As a reminder, there’s no eating/drinking in the hall (bar enough liquids at the table to stop you keeling over!), but there is a side hall where there will be free light refreshments such as tea, coffee, squash and biscuits.

For those that haven’t played there yet, Matravers School Hall School is a great venue, with recently installed LED lighting and good flooring, and plenty of space.  I do hope you’ll attend – why not give it a go!   If you’d like to enter please download the form and return it   to the address shown on the form, and / or e-mail Albert Bolhuis  (albert.bolhuis@gmail.com )  before mid-day on Friday 19th October 2018.

Venue

Matravers School sports hall, Springfield Road, Westbury, Wiltshire, BA13 3QH.

Future events

We intend to run a  Wiltshire Open Vets Sandpaper Bat Tournament  in the New Year on Sunday 27th January 2019.
This will be held at Dauntseys School and the bats will be provided for use in the Tournament. It will also be open to any Vets player who plays in a league in Wiltshire and adjoining counties so the normal Vets eligibility will be relaxed to accommodate players from outside of Wiltshire. Further details will be on the Wiltshire Vets Web site in the near future.
The money raised from this event will be used to help with coaching and training costs for the Wiltshire Juniors and Cadets.
