Division 2

Drifters completed their season when they entertained Allsorts. The home team played steadily but faced strong opposition against this year’s division 2 favourites, Allsorts. In a good-spirited match the star of the evening for the home side was Andrew Miles with 5. Andrew was supported by David Smith with 4, and Liz Fletcher with the final singles point. After a brave tussle in the doubles, three points were added to give Drifters a final tally of 13 points.

Allsorts continued to power themselves towards the division 2 championship led by the ambidextrous Sifa Vea. Sifa’s maximum earning him the player of the match award. Steve Palmer also turned in an excellent maximum and the singles scoring was completed by Andy Godfrey with a solid 5 points. A maximum in the doubles gave Allsorts a comfortable victory with 32 points.

There is now only one final match to play in division two when Allsorts take on second-place Minehead Breakaways to decide the championship for the season.
