St. Audries got off to a winning start in the handicap cup with a 24 point win over Tonys Troopers. Jim Stiles was St. Audries’ stand out player with a personal points gain of 26.
Martyn Summerell made a gain of 55 points for Stogumber A and was well supported by Barbara Parker and Andrew Miles who recorded surpluses of 5 and 20 respectively in an away victory at Shooting Stars. Cup specialist Ali Lang completed a points gain of 29 to help Drifters to a 54 point win over Barn Boys. Trevor Stockdale added a further 22 points for Drifters, Liz Fletcher chipped in with a gain of 3.
Also in Box C Gnomads eased to a comfortable 128 point win over Roys Boys. Martin Rant completed a huge surplus of 67 points. Eddie Ferris added a further 40 points and Nigel Foster completed the victory with a surplus of 21.
In Box D Minehead A defeated Mad Batters by 39 points thanks largely to a personal gain of 51 points by Dave Veale. Wiveliscombe overcame their handicaps to finish 42 points ahead of White Horse. Dennis Buckingham and Dave Woodland contributed gains of 15 and 35 points respectively. Colin White was White Horse’s top player and conceded only a single point.

In the Junior League Jack Lancaster recorded a fine maximum which included a 5 set win over Ryan Graddon to help Hawks to a 12-5 success over Kestrels. Nathan Brazier added 3 singles points for Hawks with a win over Charlie Lazarus. Duncan Stothard and Connor Graddon both scored maximums as Magpies proved too strong for Kites. Luke Westcott took Kites only point in a 4 set defeat to Stothard.
