Wembley and Harrow TTL Coronavirus update

To: All W&HTTL members

In the light of today's announcement by the Prime Minister asking citizens to avoid social contact, we have decided to suspend all League competitions with immediate effect. We have no wish to require players to play if they feel uncomfortable about doing so, access to our clubs is becoming more and more limited and the medical advice appears to suggest that we should not put people at risk by being in close contact with each other.

We understand that no-one knows when ‘normality’ will be resumed and that any postponed matches may never get played at all. This will have an effect on the League tables and Cup Finals and the Committee will discuss how to deal with the outcome in the fairest manner possible. We respect, and would like our members to appreciate, the view that taking precautions against members contracting the virus is much more important than who won or lost a table tennis match.

Thank you for your understanding. It's a situation that no-one wants to be in and the Committee would like to wish you and your families all the best for staying healthy.

We will provide further updates regarding the League activities in due course.
