Cambridge & District TTL 1984-1985

Les Constable's report on the season

This season saw Wesley make an even more desparate attempt to overhaul Soham and only just failed by 9 points (1 less than a possible). In fact Wesley did not lose a match during the whole of the season, drawing 5-5 both times with Soham but with the system of points for games won theyhad to put up with second position. Soham, on the other hand, lost to St Ives but won their other games more easily. Keith Richardson of Wesley obtained 100% and Steve [sic] Palmer of Soham 96%. New Chesterton Institute 2 were relegated to Division 2 and Swavesey 2 headed Division 2.

In the Knockout Handicap Trophy St Ives 3 were successful against Haverhill 3.
