Les Constable's report on the season
In the 1978/79 season Soham went through unbeaten and what is more did not drop
a point and their final average was played 22, won 22, drawn 0, lost 0, points
for 201, points against 19, total points 44. This was an incredible achievement
and they led the second team New Chesterton Institute by 10 points at the end
of the season. Their team consisted of Keith Richardson who finished with
a 100% at the end of the season, Mick Palmer with 88%, Brian Richardson with
91% and Andy Withers with 89% and they carried all before them.
