Cambridge & District TTL 1966-1967

Les Constable's report on the season

After a terrific struggle University Press succeeded in winning Division 1 of the Cambs League. They had strong opposition from NCI and all the other teams in the League provided good opposition. Wesley fell away after a promising start and the absence of John Cornwell was felt very much in the second half of the season. Telephones and YMCA also played well.

In the second division Exiles topped the League and next season should see them do well in a higher sphere.

In Division 3a the University had a good season and well deserved their success in winning the division and a higher division should suit them next season.

Division 3b saw Soham III clinching the title and it would not be long before their first team would be on their way in gaining the first of many championship titles.

Duxford Grange played well to win Division 4a and with C.S.Casuals winning Division 4b and Haverhill 4c so ended a very successful season.
