County No 1 David Atkinson justified top seeding to win the Cambridge & District League Mens Singles title for the third time in four seasons. He overcame the challenge of last season’s champion Mick Harper in the semi final and then four times winner Keith Richardson in the final.
Richardson had upset the seedings by knocking out No. 4 Kevin Gray in the quarter final, and then 2nd seed Jens Ebbecke in the semi final.
County Junior No. 1 Kayleigh Hubbard won the Ladies Singles for the first time when she saw off the challenge of Ellesmere clubmate Charlotte Edwards 11-9 in the final set.
