Match No 19 - March 30 - 02 Aprl

   Division 1 leaders Tamworth Wheelers Wiff Waffs, cancelled their game this week, leaving the way clear for Wilnecote Raiders to creep back into the lead again. These two top teams still have two games remaining against each other and this lends itself to an exciting fe w weeks as the season ends. Wilnecote scored their 8 - 2 win at home when they played Lichfield Kings and Queens. Ken Read achieved a maximum three points, with team mates Andy Bache & Steve Atkinson winning two apiece. Also in Division 1 Tamworth Youth Club Wanderers also enjoyed an 8 - 2 victory over Kingsbury Tornadoes, Matt Satchwell Andy Walker both won all three of their games, whilst Brian Beer added one. Curdworth Wheeler Pingers beat Netherseales 7 - 3, thanks to three points from Gary Nash, two from Rob Rowson  and one from Tony Stewart.

 Closest division of all Division 2, saw the top two teams move within two points of each other. Contenders Netherseal Oak beat Curdworth Wheeler Pongers 9 - 1. Netherseal players, Brian Hagger,  Mke Harker & Pete Jamieson won all their singles games, but Pongers, David Bree and Richard Grove took the doubles game for their one point. Current leaders Lichfield Jets suffered a defeat to two man team Hopwas A. The Jets lost 6 - 4, Mark Balant and Harry Emberson only won the the doubles, whereas Alistair &Martin Tallis  for Hopwas beat everyone to claim their 6 points. Tamworth Rugby Club Kings had a tremendous 10 - 0 win against Hopwas B. The Kings players, Dean Snowden, Johnathan Pilling & Ian Gould won all their games.  Finally ,in this division, there was a great match that saw Lichfield Knaves and Spital Daredevils end up on a draw. New Knaves signing Jameel Mann proved to be Man Of The Match, winning three points and played alongside Daniel Greathead & Neil Lehane, who added one point each.  Alan Baker fought back for the Daredevils, taking two wins. He was helped by single wins for Paul Bowler & Stafford Brooks. Baker and Bowler then evened the scoreline by claiming the doubles point.

 The way ahead team in division 3, Tamworth Rugby Club Oddballs, had another massive win. They beat Lichfield Musketeers 9 - 1. Both Oddballs, Kevin Wright and Ronald Simpson got a maximum three wins & Dave Storr won two more. Only Paul Watkins managed to salvage a point for The Musketeers. There was a 6 - 4 narrow victory for Kingsbury Cruisers when they met Tamworth Youth Club Lambs.  For cruisers, Dominic Duerden scored two points and Adam & John Lowe won a single point each as well as the doubles. However, it was The Lambs' James Shaw who got the full house and took three points. Graham Clarke was in good form, winning three games for Netherseal Ash this week. This saw them beat Tamworth Youth Club Talentz 7 - 3. Hayden Wooton performed best for Talentz, taking two games for his team. Finally another 7 - 3 result came from Lichfield Rockets beating Spital Mondays.  Rockets, Zoran Djurkovic and Christopher Davis, won two games apiece, as well as the doubles match. Spital members, Ian Sketchley, John Brookes and Paul Watkins all scored once to make up their three points.
