week six

There were many closely contested games this week.

In Division One, Netherseals beat Wilnecote Raiders 7-3.  Danny Sullivan won a hat-trick of games for Netherseals, while Matt Satchwell won two of his games, beaten by a good performance from Jess Birbeck.  Ryan Birbeck and Andy Bache each scored singles over Andy Walker to gain vital extra points for the Raiders. Curdworth Wheelers Pingers had an 8-2 victory against Tamworth Youth Club Retros.  Rob Sheldon and Rob Rowson proved unbeatable on the night, while Steve Smith and Tony Stewart each managed a point for Retros against Dawn Sagoo.  Kingsbury Tornadoes beat Spital Daredevils 7-3.  Alan McLoughlin was undefeated, and Karl Oliver won two of his games for Tornadoes, beaten only by Claire Baker, who scored a brace for Daredevils.  Nigel Thompson and Howard Lewis won singles for both sides respectively.

In Division Two, Netherseal Oak beat Rubgy Oddballs 7-3.  Brian Haggar and Mike Harker could not be beaten for Oak, and the Oddballs team of Dave Storr, Keith Pratt and Kevin Wright each won their games against Viktor Kathi.  There was also a 7-3 scoreline when Lichfield Barons met Kingsbury Pumas, this time in favour of the Pumas. Ben Musson and Daniel Granfield won all of their games for Pumas, but the Barons team of Pete Collins, Yuri Slobodyuk and John Henson getting the beeter of Tom Haines to retain three points for the struggling Lichfield side.  Lichfield Knaves had a narrow 6-4 win over Tamworth Youth Club Future.  Mark Balant and Gerbo Huisman both scored twice for the winning Knaves, although Michael Bree performed well for Future, winning all of his games.  Hopwas Jokers also beat Rugby Kings 6-4.

In Division Three, Tamworth Youth Club Boffs beat Burntwood A 7-3.  David Bree and Shaun Guest performed well, winning every game for Boffs, while Steve Loundes and James McCurdy scored singles over Sam Till.  Tamworth Youth Club China Whites narrowly lost 6-4 to the improving youngsters of Lichfield Musketeers.  Luke Sargent played well and scored a hat-trick of games for the Musketeers, helped by a double from Daniel Greathead.  Alex Farrell scored a brace for China Whites, and Belinda Forster won her game against Morgan Sykes.  Netherseal Ash beat Tamworth Youth Club Noobs 8-2.  Graham Clarke and George Parry were unbeaten for Ash, while Luke Gibson and Ryan Coady scored the two points for Noobs against John Pope.
