West CAC travelled to Brandon, by popular request, to face the Energy team, led by Big Bill MacLennan, helped by Neil Richards, Colin Prichard, and finally David Flynn, a close-knit side.

The 1^st game saw some great returns by Neil to overcome the hard-hitting Chainsaw Kelly by 3 games to 0, this was followed by Michael the Yorkshire Terrier, who beat David in 3 ends. Wino Whitwham had tough set against Colin but his forehand on the night was too hot to handle and ran out 3 sets to 1, this was followed by Chainsaw who got the better of David.

Captain Bill made great choice when he played the doubles with Colin against the Yorkshire Terrier and Chainsaw Kelly, and in hard match Colin and Twinkle Toes MacLennan won over 4 ends.

The match went down hill for West, even the old Wino tried his best and took David to 5 ends before losing the last end 11-6, so well played David. The last set of the night saw Michael and Neil play a great match, and in the end the Yorkshire Terrier overcame Neil  with controlled rallies and deserved to win and make it a 7-3 win to Energy, so well done Brandon.

The Player of the Match was Colin Prichard who won all his games, when his forehand was so good on the night West team could only admire his shots, so very well played Colin.
