Match Report

The long-awaited match between West CAC and West CAB took place with great hope for victory for both sides and the B side came out on top 8-2.  It was a hard match between teams who know each other very well.

The 1st match between Michael, the Yorkshire Terrier, against George Daley, Sunderland’s top table tennis taxi driver,  was a very hard battle between 2 good players, but someone had to win, and this time it was the Yorkshire Terrier who took the 5th end 11-8, so hard luck George. Old Alan played Dave Barber, after losing the 1st end 3-11 he came back to win the next end 11-8, but Dave showed his class by winning the next 2 ends, so well played Dave. The ever-green Malcom Deneven started by beating Chainsaw Kelly in 3 games, and he carried on in the same vein for the rest of the match, the only other set the C team won was when Chainsaw defeated Dave in 4 ends, well played Mr Kelly.

George, Dave, and Malcolm all played well, but ever green Deneven, was Player of the Match so well played Malcolm.

West CAC were beaten by the better side on the night, and towards the end of the match old Alan got a bit bad tempered, I think the old Git was past his bedtime, so sorry if I upset anyone.

Gan Canny,

Alan, the Old Git, Whitwham.
