What a welcome from St Gabriels C for Magic especially with Mike Hampshire leading the way. 

Also what a venue the hall has turned into. 

Brightly painted, superb lighting and a newly varnished floor, championship quality.

The game probably went the way expected with the youngsters of Magic Ross and Luke and the elderly Peter Whitfield struggling to combat the perseverance of the experienced  Gary Anderson, Tony Watson and Howard McCain. 

The best game of the night was the doubles which went to 5 ends before the power of Luke and Ross came through 12-10 in the last game. Other games went to 5 ends with the final point of Peter v Tony seeming to go on forever before Tony fell asleep. Both Howard and Gary won 3 games each to give St Gabriels a 6-4 win

By the way the wall in the room proudly proclaims that the room has been St Gabriels since 1920, anybody know what it was before 1920?
