This is my last report of the season and yet again I was not at the match, and I could have been on a desert island, I feel that everybody deserved the final report because there is a writer inside of me trying to get out.

By popular demand I was yet again dropped, and Michael Hepworth, Malcolm Deneven and Magic Mick Redfearn played against Unionist B led by the Great Jamie Westwater, the Wise Ray Purves, Trevor Teasdale, and the ever-Graceful Dick Karcezewski.

This was a seesaw match with Jamie beating Michael , followed by Malcolm defeating Trevor, Ray overcoming Mick, with Michael winning against Trevor and in the doubles Mick and Malcolm played Dick and Trevor and won in 4 ends. This gave West CAC a 3-2 lead at the halfway mark , but with Jamie and Ray winning their last 2 sets and only Mick beating Trevor gave the home team a deserved 6-4 win.

Player of the Match was Jamie Westwater, so well played Jamie and a special praise goes to Trevor who has not had the best of seasons he still turns up and gives his best, so well-done Trevor.

Well, it’s the end of the season which has been tough with the Covid, and it was great to see all the teams trying their best to finish the league and hope to see you all next season.
