You would expect if a team like St. Gabs D turn up with only Stephen Young and the trophy man Ken Tweedy, that the West CAC team of Michael Hepworth, Alan, yes, he is still alive, Whitwham and the new boy from Yorkshire Imran Mohammed, would have a chance. But we still managed to lose 8-2. Alan started badly in the 1st end against Stephen and the next 2 ends likewise , so no change then and the rest of the team played better which didn’t take much.
The best performance by West was in Imran’s match against Stephen when at times he had Stephen pinned against wall with some hard-hitting forehands, but he lost the 4th end 17-15 despite having had a few game points, so well played Imran.
Well Player of the Match was the trophy man so well played Ken Tweedy.
