Match Report

West CAC played out a draw with East Boldon Bandits and yet again the big talking point was why is Alan Whitwham allowed on the board unsupervised at his age, I think it’s because he picks the team.

It was not all bad Alan’s 1st game was against Jeff Hope, whom I always like, manage to let me win 12-10 in the 5th end and was very unlucky not to beat Alan for the 1st time, but Alan went on to lose against Ryan Campbell and the every youthful Sophie Richardson whom also overcome him and Jason Gargett in the doubles. Jason beat Sophie in a tight 5 ender and also beat Jeff but lost to Ryan in 3 ends, but I think Ryan had a weight advantage , biggest surprise was Magic Mick Redfearn after losing to Ryan in 5 ends he went on to beat Sophie 3-0 and followed it up with a win over Jeff.

I thought that Jeff was unlucky on the night not to get anything because he played some great strokes and his 4th end with Mick both players had some great rallies and I wish to say sorry for beating him.

Magic Mick played the best he had all season but Ryan Campbell  got the Player of the Match, so hard luck Mick and well done Ryan.
