"Unionist Club travelled to Brandon to play Air in this rearranged match. Both teams played up two players from division two: David Bannon from Unionist Club B and Alan Perry from Brandon Crusaders. In their head to head, David used his defensive style of play in an attempt to force errors from Alan, whose goal was to open up with forehand loops to dominate the table. At 9-9 in the fifth, David found two third ball attacks from a change of serve to take the point in what was a very close game.

In the doubles, the undefeated Brandon pair of Jamie Lupton and Geoff Salter found themselves two ends down against David Cutler and Richard Wilson. However they did manage to take the next two ends before an edge broke the deuce in the fifth to maintain the streak and the point for Brandon.

In the final game of the night, it was Richard Wilson's turn to claim a point in the fifth end by beating Jamie Lupton in a match with strong attacking play resulting in some good rallies. Overall it was a good showing from both teams and both deserved an almost equal share of the points
