The second session of this league took place on 8th December 2012 and in the First Division Aston Fallows of Rougham Lions had a very good afternoon. He was promoted from the Second Division and went on to win all 8 of his games. His more experienced teammate Andy Marshall also won all 8 of his games and together they won all four of their doubles match to put the Lions at the head of the table. Another player who had a good day was Joseph Gollifer of the Bury Beavers who is in his first year as a player won 7 out of his 8 games only losing in 4 legs to the more experienced Jack Samson of Stowmarket Sisters + One. However Emma Baker beat Sam Taylor and with Jack easily won the doubles to win the match by 4 games to 1. In another First Division clash saw Sisters + One lose 3 games to 2 to Ellesmere Expedience. Emma Baker won both her 2 singles though taken to a 5th game by Thomas Pizey. She was accompanied by Noah Samson the younger brother of Jack and though Noah enjoyed it and tried so hard he was outplayed by Thomas and Rhys Burton. Another close match was between Smashers and Bashers, that sounds more like a boxing match. Nathan Croft went to five legs against both Quinn Godfrey and Louis Gilham just losing out in the fith. Archie Theobald won both his singles games and the doubles went again to five legs with Smashers eventually winning to win the match by 3 games to 2.
In the Second Division Stowmarket Stingrays beat Gazeley Gazelles by 3 games to 2. James Davies Stokes won both his singles games and unfortunately brother Luke lost both his games to Stephen Perry and Patrick Bartram but the brothers won the doubles in five legs to take the match. Another close match was between Stowmarket Scorpions and Rougham Panthers, most of the games went to four or five legs. But in the end the Panthers team of Aidan Stibbs and Holly McGerty won 3 games and Scorpions Megan Aves and Lewis Mullenger won 2 games. Ellesmere Evolution team of Nathan Johnson and Jack Nicholas beat Stowmarket Stingrays James Davis Stokes and Zoe Balaam by 3 games to 2.
It was good to see how competitive most of the games were with no end of games going to the fifth leg. The next session is on 12th January 2013.
