Clive Ellison produced a man of the match performance for Woodchester B as he helped his side to a six four victory against the visiting Cirencester by scoring a maximum. Phoenix B lost heavily at home to near neighbours Forest Green A, the visitor’s Marcus Holba top scored with a hat trick of wins which gave his side a 8-2 victory. Thornbury A inflicted a 9-1 defeat on the weakened visiting Phoenix A with both Dave Reeves and Len Vowles going unbeaten. Yate just got the better of a strong visiting Woodchester A team winning the tussle 6-4 but no one player could dominate. Sam McIvor scored a superb maximum for Phoenix C when they drew five all against the visiting Frampton A.
The points were shared at five all in the local derby between Forest Green B and the visiting Phoenix D with most players making an appearance in the sets won column. Harry Prescott was undefeated on the night which helped his Cam & Dursley A team to a 6-4 victory against their visitors Randwick A. Nailsworth A suffered a heavy 1-9 loss at home to Thornbury B for whom both Gavin Rogers and Simon Lewis were unbeaten. Robin Munson and Steve Porter were both unbeaten on the night as Frampton B saw off the challenge from two player Randwick B, beating the visitors 9-1. Steve Greening scored a fine maximum for Whiteshill A but couldn’t prevent his side losing 4-6 at home to Frampton C.
Phoenix F saw off a strong challenge from the visiting Randwick C as both Andy Hammond and Alex Wei scored maximums in a 7-3 home victory. Cam & Dursley B entertained Woodchester D with the visitors leaving with a six four victory thanks to a Colin Bruton maximum. Thornbury C made light work of the visiting Phoenix E with Len Pattison and Steve Biles scoring maximums in a 9-1 victory. Whiteshill B and Woodchester C shared the points at five all with Steve Partridge scoring a hat trick for the hosts.
A strong Randwick D team proved too much for the visiting Cam & Dursley C with Mark Edwards and John Smee both going unbeaten for the home side in a 9-1 win. Alun Davies scored a max for Nailsworth B which helped his side beat the visiting Thornbury D 8-2. Frampton D won by a similar score line when both Simon Ruddleston and Glan Watkins went unbeaten in an 8-2 victory over the visiting Phoenix I. Phoenix H suffered a 2-8 home defeat at the hands of Randwick E with Gregory Roberts unbeaten for the visitors.
