Dave Hadley went unbeaten for Phoenix A as they beat the visiting two man Frampton B 6-4 to stay joint top of the division. Dennis Wadley played up for Woodchester A and finished as man of the match scoring a max and helping his side to an 8-2 victory at Cirencester which puts Wood A joint top of the division. Phoenix B couldn’t contain Billy Shilton when they lost 4-6 at home to Woodchester B, Billy was man of the match with a fine maximum for the visitors. Andy Cox put in a man of the match effort and returned a max, this was matched by team mate Joe Sheppard as Yate left Thornbury A with a 6-4 victory. The points were shared at five apiece between Frampton A and Forest Green A, Abu was man of the match scoring a maximum for the home team.
Randwick A are second in the division after a 7-3 home victory over Cam & Dursley A, Declan Fardon scoring three singles wins for the home side. Thornbury B left Whiteshill B with a 9-1 victory which puts them at the top of the table, Gavin Rogers and Mark Attwood each returned maximums. Woodchester C entertained Whiteshill A, Steve Greening scored three singles wins for the visitors which helped them to a 6-4 victory. The Phoenix D youngsters triumphed when they played their more experienced “C” team club mates, running out 7-3 winners thanks to a maximum from Sam McIvor.
Randwick C hold top spot in the division after beating their “B” team club mates 6-4, Jim Hurford was man of the match with a max. Woodchester D entertained Phoenix F with the visitors edging the victory 6-4 with a “Lucky” hat trick. Forest Green C were whitewashed at home by Phoenix E, Alex Horseman, John Catterall and Ricardo Pereira were the unbeaten trio. Thornbury C are in second place after maximums from Steve Biles and Graham Eden helped them to a 6-4 win against their Nailsworth A visitors. Whiteshill C beat the visiting Randwick D 6-4 with a max from Barry Jordan making him man of the match for the home team.
Cam & Dursley B maintained their 100% start to the season, this week it was the turn of Forest Green D to suffer at the hands of Joe Collins, Tony Averis and Harry Hogan. Cam & Dursley C lost 4-6 at home to Nailsworth B but it was Bev Browning who was man of the match with three wins for the home side. Nailsworth C beat the travelling Thornbury D 6-4 thanks in part to a max from Mike May. Frampton D entertained Phoenix G, Chris Hampton scored a maximum for the visitors which helped them to a 6-4 victory. In the second Phoenix derby of the night it was the H team that triumphed with a ten nil victory over their inexperienced I team club mates. Fred Donald, Edward Loader and Thomas Spellman each returned maximums.
