This seasons champions, Thornbury A, lost their last match of the season as they went down 3-7 at home to the league runners up, Woodchester A. David Buck was man of the match scoring a maximum for the visitors. Yate finished off a successful campaign beating the visiting Woodchester B 6-4 although it was the visitors Clive Ellison who was man of the match scoring a hat trick of singles wins. Phoenix B beat and finished above their A team club mates after whitewashing the weakened “visitors”. Nick Watts, Richard Maddrell and Liwu Wei were the unbeaten trio.
Champions Phoenix C completed their successful season, beating the visiting two player Whiteshill A 6-4, but it was the visiting Steve Greening who was the man of the match winning all his three singles. Woodchester C could only field two players and went down 2-8 to the visiting Thornbury B, Simon Lewis and Mark Attwood each going unbeaten. Nailsworth A suffered a 2-8 home defeat at the hands of local rivals Forest Green B, Jimmy Haycraft was man of the match scoring a maximum. Frampton C finished off their season by beating the visiting two player Pessimists 7-3. David Metcalfe was unbeaten for Frampton.
Cam A secured the runners up spot after comfortably beating their hosts, Phoenix F, 1-9. Harry Prescott and Alex Yeung each scored a maximum for the visitors. Randwick C beat the visiting Forest Green C 6-4 but it was Tony Poole for the Green, who was man of the match scoring a maximum. Randwick B lost their last match of the season, going down 4-6 at home to Phoenix E, for whom Arran Skinner top scored with a maximum.
The anticipated tense finished to the season didn’t materialise as the late withdraw of one of the teams gave Cam B a comfortable lead which they duly held onto to finish as champions. Phoenix G missed out by two points as they could only beat their Cam C hosts 3-7, which was not quite enough on the night. Chris Hampton top scored for the visitors with a maximum. Randwick D finished in third position as maximums from George Morris and Akira Roe gave them a 7-3 win at Forest Green D. Nailsworth B finished their season losing 4-6 at home to Phoenix H for whom Alex Horseman top scored with a max. Frampton D and Phoenix J ended the season with a five all draw with the visitors Charlie Cole scoring a maximum as he finished man of the match.
