week 5 results

Division 1:

Despite not having a match last week, Forest Green A remain at the top of the division. Thornbury A made up some ground on them though thanks to a Dave Reeves maximum giving them a 7-3 victory against the visiting Yate. Woodchester B won by the same score at Cirencester with Clive Ellison going unbeaten and Phoenix A kept things tidy also winning 7-3, they were at home to Frampton B and Simon Ward scored a max for the home side. A maximum from Liwu Wei for Phoenix B couldn’t prevent his side losing 4-6 at home to Frampton A.

Division 2:

Despite drawing five all at home to Thornbury B, Whiteshill A remain at the top of the division thanks to a Steve Greening max. Whiteshill B beat the two man Forest Green B 6-4 at home while at Woodchester, the C team scored a much needed 6-4 against the visiting Nailsworth A despite a max for Dave Pugh. Phoenix C kept up the pressure at the top thanks to Connor Ward and Andy Stratford scoring maximums in their 8-2 win at Frampton C.

Division 3:

Thornbury C won 7-3 at home to Randwick C thanks to a Graham Eden max taking them level on points at the top of the division with Phoenix D, who beat their E team club mates 8-2, with John Catterall scoring a maximum. Colin Bruton scored three points for Woodchester D as they beat the visiting Randwick B 6-4. Whiteshill C had a convincing 9-1 victory against the two man Forest Green C.  

Division 4:

Cam B moved clear at the top of the division as Tony Averis, Bev Browning and Paul Stewart were all unbeaten in their whitewash of the visiting Nailsworth B. Cam C didn’t fare so well as they were beaten 7-3 at Forest Green D thanks to a Ciaran Bryden maximum. Randwick D beat the two man Phoenix H 7-3 at home, while Frampton D drew 5-5 against the visiting Phoenix I, Pete Seville was man of the match with a max for Frampton. Cliff Jordan made the difference for Phoenix G, scoring a max as his side beat their young club mates 7-3.
