Warwickshire Team Championship Rules
1. The Warwickshire Team Championship will be held on Saturday 28 April 2012 at Colebridge Young Peoples Club. The organiser is Neil Wheatley and entries from clubs must be received by him via email to neilpw@talktalk.net by Saturday 14th April. Entries must give the team name and names of all the players.
2. The competition is a straight (non handicap) competition for three aside teams. All players must have played in one of Warwickshire’s leagues during the season but not necessarily for the club concerned or in the same league. Teams are advised to nominate more than three players so that reserves are available but this is not compulsory.
3. Entry is free. The Association will pay the administrative costs.
4. The main competition on 28 April will be for four teams.
4. Each team match will be the best of nine individual matches (each the best of 5 games). The team match will be won by the first team to win 5 individual matches.
6. The competition will have a knockout format.
7. Two teams will be seeded 1 and 2 and seeded in opposite halves of the draw.
9. The schedule for the main competition will be approximately:-
- 10.00am Two Semi finals. Teams must report by 9.45am
- 1.00pm (or on completion of the semi finals and a short break) – Final
10. The winning team will be recognised as the Team Champions of Warwickshire.
11. Preliminary rounds - If more than 4 teams enter then preliminary rounds will be held. In this case two further teams will be seeded 3 and 4 and will be drawn into the two quarters of the draw not occupied by seeds 1 and 2. If less than 8 teams enter the teams to be exempt from the preliminary rounds will be those seeded highest. The preliminary round matches shall be played not later than the weekend prior to the main competition. The date and time shall be agreed between the teams concerned or if they cannot agree decided by the organiser. The organiser will draw lots to determine which teams will have home advantage.

NB. The competition is open to all clubs and players who, in the 2011-2012 season, have played in a league or leagues affiliated to Warwickshire TTA.
